Vanniyar refers to a very larger social group of peoplespread all across South India. Vanniakula Kshatriyas are a feudal caste and descendantsof the Kadava dynasty and Pallavaempire that ruled Andhra, Northern Tamilnadu andSouthern Karnataka, with their capital at Kanchipuram.
